I'm sure that everyone else has said this but the clouds are a little off compared to the character. Have a go at painting over the bottom cloud to replace it with sky, maybe squashing the others up a bit, and then adding, say mountains or a cityscape.

Remember that lens flares don't usually happen when the sky isn't the main focus of the wallpaper. It depends on how it looks in the full size wallpaper, but I'd try blurring the background slightly because of the relative closeness of the character. If you're going to keep the lens flare in there, make it go above the character. You may need to flatten the image to make this happen, so do it at the end when you're happy with how it looks.

The text is quite intrusive. Perhaps make it smaller and more transparent. Make it blend in a bit better with the background. Make it into clouds if you're feel like it =P. That would look cool.

Let us know how you get on (and sorry for being late with the reply :P)

I use Linux, thus I'm already using the features that Windows Vista has...

Quote by Dracol35-60Well you can already sense the sarcasm leaking from those two sentences XD.

Yeh, sure :D

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. I love it!

Ah, and that's why Love Hina was so popular. Completely realistic storyline and a decisive and mature leading male character.

Definitely Kaede. She's always so willing to help around the house. Not only is she cute, she's good round the house!

f

Happy birthday! Hope it's a good one!

I just use a firewall in Linux. No need for antivirus software!

When I try to update the colour values in my userpage customization, some values change automatically. For example, hexadecimal value #666666, when inputted into the "Box Inner Border Color" of the skin builder, changes to 666,666 when I apply the changes.

With Box Background Colour, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Header colours, 8292a2 somehow changes to "8,292".

This is annoying as my userpage looks really awful at the moment.

Good to bear those ideas in mind. It's okay to make a wallpaper you know you're going to like, but you have to take in the opinions of others when making the wallpapers. You have to get the right balance of what you lke and what other people will like...

Now that I'm level 20, I have decided to make a Gimp Users Group. For those of you who don't know what The Gimp is, have a look at this website: http://gimp.sf.net

The Gimp is an alternative to Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. What it lacks in filters and brushes, it makes up for in the price. As it is open source software, it doesn't cost a thing and you can edit the code to your heart's content.

The group is for anyone who actively uses the Gimp (e.g. making wallpapers, photo manipulation, etc), wants to know more or needs a problem solving. Feel free to join if you're interested in The Gimp. I hope to provide as much information and resources for the Gimp, along with various tutorials by myself and others...

Oops, nearly forgot the link as well. Silly me. Here it is:

GMail and my Pipex email account. Oh, I better go check my GMail account - haven't for a while. Thanks for reminding me!

I use Minitokyo wallpapers all the time.

Shameless plug mode

Right now, I'm using this: http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/179427/ by me! Seems to suit my desktop as it is...

1600x1200x85hz iiyama Vision Master Pro 454 (maximum 2048x1536 at 60hz). Very nice for wallpapering!

f

Yes, but I don't update it very often. And the fact that it runs on my webserver (only on 4pm-10pm GMT weekdays) is a problem - not many people can visit it!

I use WordPress for my blog. It's really good for what I want. Anyways, my blog is at http://fuzzylogic.ath.cx/~stephen/

I found the cloud brush tutorial absolutely fantastic. With just 10 minutes browsing on Stock Exchange, and 10 minutes of making the brushes, I released http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/23504009/ for The Gimp. Thanks for sharing such a useful tutorial!

I'm currently using Debian Sid on an Athlon 3200 with 1gig RAM. Running Gnome and X-Org composite effects (looking bloody sweet). Have been using Ubuntu in the past. First version of Linux I had was SuSE7.2 PRO. It was good fun dabbling with that on an old p166.

btw, thanks Archer79> i'm definitely joining the MT LUG!

I'd say that it doesn't use up much more space (~3kb at the most), but I think the small avatar suits the style of the forum. You can fit a lot on the page with the small text and small avatars in the forums. I wouldn't be too bothered if the size went up or down. You can't really display much in a 100x100 space to be honest...

Never played before - not my kind of sport. I prefer a more "active" sport like tennis or badminton. Golf is relaxing , I'm sure, and I might try it one day when I'm older and have more time on my hands!

I wouldn't dream of:
a) Letting some "technitian" from PC World try to fix my computer
b) Paying for the service I can do easily

I built my computer. I upgrade it. I fix it. It's simple enough and I'd rather do it myself than get someone else to do it for a price. The computer shops charge a fortune just for "check-ups". I'd like to see them try to fix a Linux problem ^_^ !

Very nice mouse for a gamer...

I used to use Vue 2 when it came free with a PC magazine CD. I remember making a lot of sunsets with that, but very little in the way of good stuff. I suppose if I try again now I will be better. Your stuff looks good though. Nice work!

As and some A*s at things I'm good at. I'll find out how well I did at my GCSEs on Thursday x_x ...
